    Reviews:
    * If you have need for more room than a small station wagon or sedan can provide, but you re not interested in driving a mom-mobile, the 2014 Mazda5 offers many minivan virtues in a fun-to drive, efficient and affordable vehicle. Source: KBB.com
    * With sporty performance, pure athletic style and a roomy interior, the Mazda5 defies category labels while delivering on versatility. The 6-passenger seating is easily accessible by two sliding rear doors, while the 2.5L DOHC engine delivers impressive power without compromising fuel efficiency. Mazda5's robust front fenders; sweeping, contoured side panels and athletic stance capture the illusion of motion while converging on a sloping roofline and sporty rear spoiler. The sleek rear end combines clean aerodynamic lines and smooth wraparound taillights for a polished look, and available 17-inch alloy wheels create a lasting impression. Rain-sensing windshield wipers, standard halogen headlights or available Xenon High-Intensity Discharge headlights, clear-lens halogen fog lights, and a convenient power moonroof are just some of the available features that round out Mazda5's dynamic form. The Mazda5 is anything but confining. With its surprisingly spacious, easy-to-configure interior, the Mazda5 is capable of juggling work, home and play. From its 44.4 cu ft of cargo space with the 50/50 3rd-row seatbacks folded down, to its independently folding 2nd- and 3rd-row seats that create a virtually flat cargo floor that's over 5 ft long, the Mazda5 is capable of accommodating everything from 6 passengers to 2 mountain bikes to a weekend of home improvement projects. Its extra-wide, easy-sliding rear doors and its ultra-light rear liftgate are designed to make loading and unloading incredibly convenient. Mazda5 may have sliding doors, but it's far from your typical minivan. Its 2.5L DOHC engine cranks out 157 horsepower, using variable valve timing to help increase power and torque without sacrificing fuel efficiency. Mazda5's engine can be paired with the precise-shifting 6-speed manual transmission on Sport models or, on Touring and Grand Touring models, the 5-speed Sport automatic with Adaptive Shift Logic and a manual shift mode for extra control. * Easy to park and maneuver; sharp handling; affordable price; easy third-row access; plenty of storage and cargo space for its size. Source: Edmunds

Bought this Mazda 5 new 8 years ago & it has been a great vehicle. No mechanical issues & plenty of pep! Handles well. The styling is ok considering it is a mix of wagon & mini-van type. Planning on buying a new car soon & will miss my '5".
    • Excellent value in this reliable minivan

I love the flexibility the Mazda5 offers. The third row seating was perfect for shuttling kids and friends around, and with two rows of seats folded flat the hauling capacity is impressive. My wife couldn't believe we fit two 36" wide vanities and the 6' countertop all in one trip! I bought mine used after seeing an acquaintance flip the seats down to make room for a loom. It is the family's favorite car for road trips. The comfy middle row bucket seats recline and have enough leg room, even for growing teenage boys around 6 feet tall. Under seat storage, a fold out center console with cup holders and a large storage pocket, and charging outlet for electronic devices meant even long trips were a breeze. The cabin is a little noisier than other cars I've had in the past. You can tell it's not a luxury car but you can't beat the value. It doesn't have the zippiest pickup but does just fine for city or highway driving. Handles well in any weather condition, even lots of snow and ice when we visited Michigan's Upper Peninsula last winter. Has been very reliable, with no unexpected maintenance needs. Gas mileage is very good and the 14 gallon tank lets me go farther between fill ups so I always get the best price.
    • Durable Miniwagon

I've had this vehicle since March 2013. I always said I would never have a "mom van", but this was the most affordable of its kind. I refer to it as a miniwagon because it's not as tall as a van, but isn't really a wagon either. Buying in the early part of 2013, I was able to get a 2012 for a fair price that someone else had customized and bailed on with leather interior and second row DVD headrests. Handles like a sedan, but the fact that it's taller keeps me from rounding curves like crazy. I had 2 Kia's prior, both of which had Bluetooth, was kind of disappointed this one did not. Love that the second row is captain seats, was surprised to find both have small storage underneath. Third row is a bit cramped, but we don't use it often for passengers, more for storage. Having had this car for almost 7yrs I will definitely get another van. Nothing beats having the sliding doors, it's so convenient when getting your kids in/out.
